Many would ask where they would go if they would die. This question has been an unanswered one for many years simply because one does not know where the road would lead next until one has actually died. Now in order to answer the question about is there life after death or not, people have made many theories that would involve both science and religion as well as superstition.
Of course the most famous of all the beliefs would be the Heaven and Hell theory which can be found in pretty much all the religions there. The basic concept of this theory is that if one is good during his lifetime, then he will be able to enjoy himself forever in Heaven whereas if he has been bad, then he has to go through eternal suffering in Hell.
Of course in this list is also the famous belief that if one would die, he would then become a ghost. Of course the popular belief of that is that one will become a phantom if he has some unfinished business on earth. Now this is apparent in a lot of the ghost stories that one would hear over the course of his life.
Of course there would also be the very well known reincarnation theory which uses karma as a basis. For those who do not know, those who would get a lot of good karma will be reincarnated as a higher class human. Those who would get a lot of bad karma would usually be reincarnated as a bug or an animal.
Science also has their own take on the big afterlife debate with the quantum physics theories. The theory of the infinite universes would state that a person does not actually die and that he is actually made out of atoms that would be split into many different parts of the world. So actually, since his atoms would split into other parts of the world, he will live on in those objects as his consciousness still exists there.
In the list would also be the theory of parallel universes that was theorized by quantum physics. According to this theory, when one dies, his energy would be transmitted to another world that is parallel to this one and he will be reborn in that next universe. It is quite like reincarnation but it is backed up by scientific theories of quantum physics.
Now there would also be biocentrism which would also make use of the multiverse theory but now with the theory of the space and time continuum. In this theory, the human consciousness would control how a person would perceive life so this means that if he believes that space and time does not exist, then it will not. So when he dies, his consciousness would actually just float all the way to another universe which would make him immortal.
Now those are only some of the theories of the afterlife. Even though so many theories exist in the world, no one will really know which one is real. One will only know once he dies and sees for himself.
