A Look At Reformed Church In San Antonio

Reformed Christians are small groups of the much larger body of believers that believe, trust and serve the Christ. It is part of a wider family inclusive of Roman Catholic, orthodox, evangelical and the Anglican and among other churches which confess and do practice on the Christian faith. Reformed believers do invest a lot on of energy and resources on Christian education. Reformed church in San Antonio derive popularity from their emphasis on the teachings of Jesus more than the rest of other mainstream Christian churches.

For quite a while numerous years back, there was requirement for change. Around two millenniums prior upon the arrival of Pentecost, Holy Spirit was spilled on to the supporters of Christ by God. The reformers were however tortured and killed by the powerful leadership of that was opposed to this amendments. Some reforms that were targeted included; corruption, the use of torture, praying to Mary and saints, among others.

At a later time, most people started following and supporting the reformers. Roman Catholic Church could not any more silence Protestants. Various events merged to bring the bible into hands of believers. By possessing the bible, individuals could judge on themselves the truth contained in it. These spring also acted positively for the Roman Catholic as it responded by cleaning up its acts that were perceived to be evil.

Most of the reformers faced great challenges such as persecution and imprisonment due to strive for reforms. Among these earlier reformers include John Calvin who was French. He studied humanities. He drew inspiration from reformers such as Martin Luther that made him put more hard work on study of the bible. His knowledge on the Greek and Hebrew enabled him to gather more knowledge on what had remained a mystery to most people.

Despite his hard work on bringing up reforms, he still faced other challenges such as differing in doctrines and interpretation of teachings with other reformers. This difference in thought led to further splinter of the reformed churches.

In spite of the fact that Christ needed a single bound together church, the two previous millenniums has seen disintegration of church into different distinctive gatherings. Thought disheartening, it likewise assumed an essentially decent part in ensuring the church never strayed. As reformed devotees we have to ask God to give us unity in confidence and lead us to streams of knowledge.
